Our methodology — Bring Your Own Credentials (BYOC)

Your channels and your AI, with your keys. Why Wroups won’t be the middleman who charges you double per message.

Some platforms “include” WhatsApp or AI… until you see the bill: markup per message, opaque tokens, or a black box you can’t leave.

Bring Your Own Credentials (BYOC) is how Wroups: Inbox + Engage plugs into your operation:

You own the channel and the account. We’re the operating system on top.

What you bring

CapabilityYour credential / account
WhatsAppYour Business number + Meta (via Kapso / coexistence setup) — you pay Meta what Meta charges
AI agentsYour OpenAI API key
EmailYour Resend (or SMTP)
CalendarYour Google Calendar (OAuth)

Wroups encrypts and stores those credentials per organization; we don’t reuse them across customers or show them in plain text after they’re saved.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t resell WhatsApp messages with a hidden margin.
  • We don’t lock you into an AI “wallet” of credits you don’t control.
  • We don’t trap your number in a limbo you can’t leave: the Meta / Google / OpenAI contract is yours.

Why it matters for SMBs and growing teams

  1. Predictable cost — you see what you spend in Meta / OpenAI / Resend; the Wroups plan is software, not a channel toll.
  2. Portability — if you change inboxes someday, your provider accounts still exist.
  3. Clear ownership — “whose data and whose bill?” has a straight answer.
  4. Better product — we compete on inbox, CRM, pipelines, workflows, and AI… not on hiding the markup.

What day-to-day looks like

  • WhatsApp onboarding → connect your line.
  • Settings → AI → paste and test your OpenAI key.
  • Settings → Email → Resend or SMTP.
  • Settings → Calendar → Google OAuth.

Then you operate in Inbox, Workflows, and Agents without wondering “how much did they charge me on top of Meta for this message?”
